Rotary Strictly Stand Up with Karl Spain now annual event
14th February 2018
TULLAMORE and District Rotary Club are again on Friday, February 16 hosting their comedy night in Hugh Lynch’s at 7.30pm.
Building on last year’s ‘sell out’ success where those that attended continually commented (amidst their laughter!) that they could have been in a comedy club anywhere in the world, such was the professionalism of the comedians and the intimacy of the venue setting.
From early to late all present laughed both with and at the comedians! And, it all culminated in Kevin Pigott of Tullamore Dew being selected as the audience’s favourite comedian of the night and the Tullamore and District Rotary Comedian for 2017.
Indeed, such was the success that the Rotary Club have decided to make this an annual event, with a perpetual trophy being sponsored by Hugh Lynch’s.
And, looking at the line up for this year, it will be a hard fought battle among the ‘budding comedians’ as they battle it out on this coming Friday 16th February.
From politicians (Marcella Corcoran Kennedy, TD) to Clergy (Rev. William Hayes) and from parishes across Offaly ten brave souls have accepted the challenge including Robert McDermott, Ronan Scully, Nora Kavanagh, Frank Gilsenan, Ed Kelly , Mary Sherwin, Pat Minnock and last years’ winner Kevin Pigott.
So, if you like comedy and want to enjoy a fantastic night why not support the Tullamore and District Rotary Club for a great evening of entertainment on Friday 16th February at 7.30pm in Hugh Lynch’s.
Note: Places are limited and last year the evening was sold out so get your tickets early from Hugh Lynch’s or e-mail Tullamorerotary@gmail.com and they’ll arrange for you to get your tickets.
All proceeds go to Tullamore Rotary Projects
